Jennifer Putnam, Executive Director
Jennifer joined The Progress Center, Inc. in 2014. She brought with her many years of successful nonprofit leadership experience. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Maine and a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Joseph’s College. Jennifer earned a Certificate in Leadership Studies from the University of Southern Maine and currently serves on the Maine Developmental Services Oversight Advisory Board, the United Way of Oxford County Board of Directors and as Vice-President of the Maine Association of Community Service Providers (MACSP). Jennifer is dedicated to growing The Progress Center by providing high quality services to individuals of all ages with intellectual disabilities and autism. Jennifer believes in an organizational culture founded on mutual respect, open communication and a commitment to quality.

Ashleigh Barker, Director of Community Case Management and Children’s Services
Ashleigh has been part of The Progress Center team since 2008. She received her BA from University of Southern Maine in Social and Behavioral Science. Ashleigh oversees the two case management teams and the children’s services program. Ashleigh has experience in developing programs, implementing changes to improve programs and proving successful outcome. She is a certified BHP trainer, pursuing her license in social work and what she likes most about her job is that it gives her the opportunity to learn and be creative and guide others to do the same.

Diane L. Howe, Director of Finance
Diane joined The Progress Center in November of 2010. She earned her education from Husson College. Her previous experience included working with non profit organizations in western Maine as well as extensive experience working in a public accounting firm. In addition, she has operated a small tax preparation business for the past 12 years. Diane enjoys spending time with her family especially her seven grandchildren.

Miranda Ward, Marketing, Development and IT Manager
Miranda joined The Progress Center in May 2011 after graduating from The University of Southern Maine with a degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Miranda worked as an advocate for adults with intellectual disabilities as a Community Case Manager for 3 years. In 2014 she accepted a position as Marketing, Development and IT Manager. She enjoys designing marketing materials and transforming the company website and acting as the race director for The Progress Center’s signature fall fundraiser– Wicked Weird and Totally Freaky Trick or Treat Trot by the Lake 5k/10k/Wicked Walk! Miranda plans to dedicate 2017 to developing her skills as a grant writer for the agency.

Laura Roy, Payroll Clerk
Laura started working in the Finance Department at The Progress Center in March, 2008. She specializes in accounts payable, billing and payroll services. Laura has 20 years of experience in providing finance services to for profit and not for profit companies in Maine. Laura’s door is always open and encourages staff to seek her out for support when needed.

Julia Herrick, Quality Assurance
Julia received a Bachelor’s degree in Social & Behavioral Sciences from the University of Southern Maine. She has extensive background in Case Management and Human Resources. Julia began as a Community Case Manager at TPC in early 2012; she left for several months to stay at home with her children and welcome her third child; then returned to the CCM role at TPC in early 2015. She transitioned into the QA/Training Coordinator role in January 2017. She is currently pursuing her Social Worker licensure.

Danielle Dill, Clinical Manager of Case Management
Danielle Dill joined the Progress Center, Inc. in August 2017. She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from The University of New England and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Danielle has previously managed mental health case management programs. She has experience developing and growing programs and implementing changes to make programs more efficient.

Sandi Tate, Community Case Manager
Sandi Tate joined The Progress Center case management team in 2014. Sandi comes to us with a strong background in crisis counseling. Sandi is a new “Mainer” of just 5 years who originated from Melrose, MA. Sandi has one adult son and 2 grandchildren. Sandi enjoys Maine and plans to stay because the people are down to earth and genuinely kind hearted folks.

Jacki Coffin, Community Case Manager
Jacki joined The Progress Center team in October of 2016 as a Children’s Case Manager. She received her BA in Social Science with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Maine at Augusta in 2014. Jacki is currently working on her Masters in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from Kaplan University. She plans to pursue her licensure for social work, as well as becoming a BCBA after she completes her Masters degree.

Karen St. Peter joined the Progress Center community case management team in January, 2017. Karen comes to us with a strong background as a licensed substance abuse counselor from Utah and a licensed social worker from Maine. She received her BA from St. Joseph’s College, North Windham, Maine and received her MHRT-II from the Muskie Institute of Maine to work as a case manager with people struggling with mental health symptoms. Karen grew up in the “County” with a French/American background and understands the value of integrity and truth. She fully respects and enjoys working with people who are diverse and differently abled.

Children’s Case Management
Kristen joined The Progress Center in 2016 as a Children’s Targeted Case Manager. She received her BSW from The University of Southern Maine and is currently working on pursuing her Master’s degree and her license in social work. Kristen began her career in children’s services as Program Coordinator for the Pequawket Kids Association before transitioning to a DSP II in residential treatment for 5-14 year olds. Kristen also manages an independent mentor program for MSAD 72 and volunteers for children’s empowerment groups such as Girls On The Run and Hardy Girls Hardy Women.

Nancy Francis, Children’s Case Manager
Nancy joined The Progress Center in April of 2016 working as a Targeted Children’s Case Manager. She also specializes in providing transitional services for individuals moving from children to adult services. Nancy started in the social service field since 2003 working in a variety of positions including: direct service professional, job coaching with a focus in traumatic brain injuries and for the past 9 years provides case management for children and families. Nancy graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2007. Nancy enjoys working collaboratively with clients and their families to help them grow to become more independent and self-sufficient and looks forward to being able to continue to do so with The Progress Center.

Greg Stacy, Children’s Case Manager
Greg Stacy started working for the Progress Center March 21, 2016. Greg began working with adolescents and families in 2007 as a BHP (Behavioral Health Professional), heavily promoting growth and development for each individual being served. Greg continued doing this type of work during his Graduate Studies at UMO, which focused succinctly on Clinical Counselor Education. Once out of school, Greg continued doing more BHP work throughout Southern Maine, then spent 4 years working in a Group Home for troubled adolescents.

Lynne Wheeler, Children’s Services Manager
Lynne joined The Progress Center, Inc. in 2011. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Southern Maine. She is a certified BHP trainer and is pursuing her license in social work. Lynne has experience in managing and implementing changes to improve programs.

Melanie Barker, Children’s Services Coordinator
Melanie Barker is a Children’s Services Coordinator and has been employed here for 19 months. She has a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation from the University of Maine at Farmington. She has worked with people who have disabilities for over twenty years in a variety of positions and of all ages.

Shelly joined The Progress Center, Inc. in 2014. She has a passion for supporting children and their families that goes back to her years of volunteer service with Head Start and propelled her to return to school and earn her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science with a concentration in Family Studies. Shelly began her career with us as a BHP and is proud to be serving the families in our community as a Children’s Services Coordinator.
Melanie Ryerson, Children’s Services Coordinator
Melanie joined The Progress Center, Inc. in February 2017, as a Children’s Service Coordinator. She began working with families and youth in 2001 as a BHP and throughout the years transitioned into the roles of Field Trainer and Program Manager. Melanie enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She is excited to be part of The Progress Center team and looks forward to continuing her work with families and youth of all abilities.

Debi Peaco, Manager of Shared Living
Deborah Peaco joined The Progress Center, Inc. in 2007. She earned her Associates Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine. Debi started at The Progress Center as a DSP, CRMA in our Home Support Program, moving on to manage the Shared Living and Home Support Programs. She also coordinates trainings and supervises relief staff and float staff. Debi has temporarily managed a residential program and has occasionally helped in the finance department. Debi serves on the celebration and safety committees and sometimes helps at the Community Dinners and with activities in our day program.

Carol Paradis, Home Support Manager
Carol started working for The Progress Center in the fall of 2010 as a DSP. Carol has been a Team Leader and House Manager for one of our residential homes and enjoys working as a DSP and providing exceptional care and support for our clients. Carol was promoted in May of 2016 to In Home Support Manager. She has an associate’s degree in applied science and would like to advance her degree the near future. Carol is very excited to be involved in the growth of a great company.

Jessica Davie, Community Support
Jessica Davie joined The Progress Center in the spring of 2008 as a Direct Support Professional while developing activities for the Physical Development program which focused on activities that helped build gross motor skills. Jess also managed the Oxford Hills Food Collaborative which sold local made in Maine products and produce for a number of years. Then she became a team leader for Community Supports before accepting a position as a manager of the Community Support Program. Jess enjoys her work with The Progress Center and believes the importance of community inclusion and plans to increase the number of community based events and activities offered at TPC.

Liz Blaquiere, Kitchen Manager
Liz joined The Progress Center 20 years ago while running a volunteer meal site. She enjoyed the work and the clients and chose to volunteer as a coach for the Special Olympics team. In 1999 she became a full time employee at our residential home before joining community supports in 2004. Liz now managers the Community Kitchen and related programming including: Feel Better Food, Produce Distribution and Community Support Culinary programs.
